HITRIplus was invited to present the project at the joined 16th Mediterranean Conference on Medical and Biological Engineering and Computing (MEDICON) and the 5th International Conference on Medical and Biological Engineering (CMBEBIH) held in Sarajevo in September this year.

At this conference, the Medical and Biological Engineering community, researchers, policymakers, and societal partners shared timely knowledge from their fields of expertise and engaged in discussing synergies and trade-offs with other sustainable development goals linked to their topics.

The event was very successful and was attended by delegates from all over the world. It focused on the importance of biomedical engineering and healthcare technology in addressing various healthcare and global challenges. It also aimed to enable participants to establish valuable business contacts, exchange ideas and experiences, and develop collaborations in the field of digitalization.

HITRIplus responsible for dissemination and outreach, Dr. Peter Grübling and Dr. Yiota Foka, took the opportunity to introduce the HITRIplus project, its partners and its research and transnational access activities to the Medical and Biological Engineering community. The great interest of the participants in the presentation given by Dr. Yiota Foka, the HITRIplus poster and the information material gave HITRIplus high visibility in this community and contributed to the success of the conference.
