On August 29, 2024, Dr. Sanja Damjanovic, a leading figure in SEEIIST and former Minister of Science of Montenegro, delivered an inspiring presentation at the “Physics for Development” colloquium, organized by the American Physical Society’s (APS) Forum on International Physics (FIP). Her talk, “Beating Cancer while Shaping Science in South-East Europe”, highlighted the transformative impact of ion beam therapy on cancer care, showcasing SEEIIST’s commitment to advancing healthcare and scientific innovation in South-East Europe.

In her presentation, Dr. Damjanovic shared SEEIIST’s vision to make Hadron Therapy accessible in South-East Europe, reflecting SEEIIST’s role at the intersection of cancer therapy and science diplomacy.
